NOTE: This mechanism is designed for light weight lids only and should not be used with large heavy lids (i.e.: coffins, large boxes, crates, ect...). See our Pneumatic Lid Opener Kit for heavier duty applications.
Easily attach to any box, coffin or barrel and the mech opens and closes the lid! Attach a prop head to the inside of the box lid and it will appear to pop out of the box!

- Shaft arm with 6" connector shaft (can be cut with hacksaw to accommodate different openings)

Will run at a constant speed and direction when plugged in. Use the optional PicoVolt controller for speed and direction control.

Great Kit!
Great kit! We built a jack in the box for the fun house segment of our haunted house this year. For years I've wanted to include a custom animated prop into my haunt and this worked out well. Edwin Wise explains how to build similar mechs in his book "Animatronics", but this kit took the guess work out of the motor mounts, power supplies, and linkage selection. There is no way that I could have had this fabricated for less. On top of all of that pairing this with the pico volt and a trigger evolves a classic dark ride gag. With the pico volt you can really add a lot of personality to the prop by having the motor change speed and direction during it's operation.
