The Speed Control Muffler provides infinite metering of air flow. The sintered bronze is encased by an outer metal shroud. With linear adjusting capability, the speed of the cylinder can be decreased by adjusting the integrated screw. When optimal exhaust rate is reached, the lockout may be adjusted to prevent accidental adjustments due to vibration or other means. Maximum operating pressure: 300 PSI Temperature Range: 35deg-300degF (1.7-149C)

Probably better for large pistons
I put these on my pneumatic valve to control the speed of 7/16" bore pistons, which are pretty small. These didn't have a large effect until you tightened them all the way down, so it was super sensitive to adjustment. They probably work better for the larger pistons that move much more air. They seem well built, but make sure you tighten that locknut well or the needle can vibrate right out of the muffler. I lost one needle that way.
