The Spooky Eyes 2.0 is a lighting effects generator that controls the outputs of sixteen LEDs (not included but available as an add-on) which can be placed in your haunted scene, haunted house, or dark attraction. When a pair of LEDs is used with each output channel, this will give the appearance of sixteen creepy creatures lurking in the darkness. Each LED output channel will randomly blink in a variety of different ways providing a fantastic looking display for any dark scene. The speed, delay, and brightess of the LEDs can all be custom programmed by the user. When using bicolor LEDs, each output channel can switch between the two colors - typically red and green or red and blue. An external trigger can be used to initiate a 'startle' effect animation. When an external trigger is detected, all sixteen output channels will immediately change color and illuminate simultaneously giving the appearance of creatures being startled by a passerby. Common triggers would utilize motion sensors and audio triggers.

As well as creating spooky eye animations, the controller can operate in a number of other modes as well. These modes include sequencer and a random flash mode called Sparkle mode. Sparkle mode a is perfect for controlling indicator lights on custom control panels for your prop. As with the spooky eye modes, brightness, speed, delay, and color can all be custom programmed by the user.

To take advantage of all the features of the Spooky Eyes 2.0 controller, including ‘startle’ mode, we recommend using bicolor LEDs. Bicolor LEDs are simply two opposing LEDs of differing colors in a single LED package. Look for LEDs that have a maximum continuous current range between 15 to 30mA. The bicolor LEDs should be the type that have two leads, not three. We also have prepackaged LED sets and Spooky Eye Mounting board kits available.
