Mount this motion detector (*PIR) on wall, use provided 15 foot cable to screw into your prop controller or triggerable audio playback unit. When people walk by their motion will trigger the controller. This is a passive infrared detector - a motion sensor that detects body heat.

Triggers contact closure for DC prop units. Does not work with 110v AC.

Use with all FrightProps controllers and audio players or your own devices with trigger input.

* PIR or MOTION PIR stands for "Passive InfraRed" motion detector which means it detects infrared light waves from body heat.

Customer Questions
Can I user this 12V PIR with my Boobox Flexmax that is powered with a 24 volt power supply?

When a FlexMax is powered by 24V it ouputs 24V and so a 12V PIR (and other triggers) will not work. Note that the FrightProps PIR can handle voltages up to 24V and so that will work regardless.

Is this product weatherproof?

This product can be used outdoors but must be protected from moisture at all times.

Would these work with Spirit Halloween's animatronic props?

Not knowing the exact props you are referring to it’s hard to say. This document shows how to interface our motion trigger into a Gemmy prop (which is who a lot of Spirts props are made by)

What is the best sensor for detecting a golf ball through a hole?

We find the the Reflective Beam Sensor is the best for this application.

Will strobe lights interfere with your beam sensor or motion sensors?

Strobe lights will not interfere with the operation of the motion sensor or reflective beam sensor. They may cause unpredictable behavior from the diffused beam sensors.

How long does this motion detector activate the prop? Is it adjustable?

It is not adjustable and is not meant to activate a prop directly. It is meant to be used with a controller such as a PicoBoo

Do these work in a blacked out room?

Yes.

Does the motion sensor go off if there is a flickering light or just when a person walks by it?

It detects body heat and not flashing lights.
